On May 22, Vladivostok will host the first-ever Far Eastern session of the Fishery Club, bringing together key players of the seafood industry and marking the return of high-level industry dialogue to Russia’s Pacific region.
The Fishery Club is an ongoing platform for executive-level discussion, where leaders of seafood companies and industry infrastructure engage in strategic dialogue on international seafood trade. While previous meetings in Moscow have focused primarily on domestic market trends, the Vladivostok session will be dedicated to export markets and the factors shaping cooperation between suppliers and international partners.
The choice of location is both practical and symbolic. Russia’s Far East accounts for the majority of the country’s wild catch and plays a central role in global seafood trade. Vladivostok serves as a key hub where harvesting, processing, and logistics are integrated, supporting export flows to international markets. At the same time, the most dynamic and prospective markets are concentrated in the Asia-Pacific region, where future demand, standards, and competitive dynamics are being shaped.
“We highly value the contribution of our colleagues from the Far East to our projects in Russia and abroad, as well as their continued support. Given the strategic importance of the region, it is essential to establish a dedicated industry platform here at the same high level. Our priority is to ensure that the format of the event is both practical and relevant to the needs of the professional community, helping to address both immediate export challenges and long-term strategic goals,”
said Ivan Fetisov, CEO of Expo Solutions Group.

“International markets are becoming more complex, bringing both new challenges and new opportunities. The Vladivostok session of the Fishery Business Club is designed to help industry participants identify practical solutions and strengthen information exchange within the professional community. This model has already proven effective in the domestic market through our Moscow meetings. We believe the new event will contribute to the further development of international seafood trade and strengthen cooperation between market participants,”
commented Yana Yashina, CEO of Fishnews Media Holding.

The Vladivostok session is expected to bring together over 100 senior executives from seafood companies and industry associations, creating a platform for direct dialogue on export strategy, market positioning, and supply chain coordination. Participation of business representatives from China, Republic of Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and other Asia-Pacific countries is currently being developed.
The format of the event is a closed-door meeting focused on professional exchange without formal presentations or public speeches. The discussion will center on practical solutions aimed at improving supply stability, strengthening market positioning, and enhancing cooperation between suppliers and international buyers.
Key topics will include:
-
sustainability of current export models and risks related to market concentration;
-
contract structures and tools for managing margins and price volatility in international trade;
-
opportunities to increase value creation and strengthen positioning of seafood products in global markets.
Participation is by invitation only.
