Leaders of the world fishing industry – Icelandic experts will share their experience and present their latest achievements at the III Seafood Expo Russia, which will be held in tandem with the Global Fishery Forum in St. Petersburg. Eight enterprises will participate as part of the joint exposition – these are Curio, Valka, Hedinn, Knarr, Skaginn, Frost, Skipasyn and Lavango, and three companies – Saeplast, Marel, and Hampidjan will be presented at separate stands.

The organizer of the joint national stand of Iceland is Promote Iceland, the public-private organization for the development of exports. Icelandic fishermen will present to the Russian public innovative developments in the field of production of industrial equipment for processing, storage, transportation of fish and seafood.

The Curio company will demonstrate machines for seafood processing, filleting and skinning. High-tech systems for the processing of salmon and bottom fish species with a system of waste minimization will be presented by the Valka company, which uses x-ray technology in the conveyor manufacturing for bone detection and water-jet robots for accurate fillet portioning.

Héðinn is a key player in the Icelandic fishing industry, which will offer a unique patented technology for the production of fish meal and fish oil, used on fishing boats, fish farms and other enterprises in the industry. The design and engineering company Skipasyn will present the concepts of effective fishing and research vessels – trawlers, seiners and crab boats, ranging in size from 15 to 100 m.

Lavango, an international manufacturer of modern high-quality equipment for the food industry, will also offer its services at the exhibition. The company is engaged in the development, design and optimization of production lines for the processing of fish products.

The marine consortium Knarr, consisting of six major suppliers of technological solutions – Skaginn3X, Frost, Nautic, Naust Marine, Brimrun, Skipataekni, will share their developments on the creation of modern high-tech fishing vessels and their equipment. The Skaginn 3X company will offer a wide range of innovative solutions for cooling and processing of food, and the Frost enterprise will provide services for the production and subsequent maintenance of innovative refrigeration equipment.

The Icelandic company Saeplast, manufacturing high-tech containers for fish and seafood which have no analogues in the world, will participate with an individual stand. At the exhibition, the enterprise will present two-layer insulated thermal insulation vats, three-layer specially reinforced polyethylene containers and pallets for use in food production.

The Marel company, which will also participate with an individual exposition, will offer various solutions – from a set of scales to full-featured production lines and entire plants, including equipment for defrosting, cutting off heads, weighing, sorting, skinning, bone removal, portioning, cutting, packaging, freezing and high-level processing. The Marel systems are equipped with powerful software Innova, which monitors the cycle of raw materials processing, performance and quality of products.

Another Icelandic company participating with an individual stand – Hampidjan – is the global leader in the production and maintenance of high-quality industrial equipment for trawlers and seiners. Under the namesake brand, the company produces trawls, heavy-duty ropes, allowing to solve the most complex engineering problems.

III Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia will be held on July 10–12 in Saint-Petersburg on the site of Expoforum EC.
