The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will once again take part in the Seafood Expo Russia 2025 exhibition, which will be held in St. Petersburg on October 22-24.
Following the successful participation last year, the representatives of Venezuela decided to increase the area of the joint national stand threefold. The exposition will feature both wild-caught and aquaculture products: whiteleg shrimp, lobster, octopus, European squid, Nile tilapia, tuna, snapper, mackerel, bighead ribbonfish, sardinella, catfish and other species.
The official delegation is expected to be headed by Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Pedro Guerra. The format of participation in the business program is being agreed upon.
“We highly appreciate the potential for cooperation between countries, for the implementation of which professional exhibitions remain the best tool. And it is Seafood Expo Russia that has become the platform that provides foreign participants with quick access to every area of the fishing industry. Thus, our colleagues will be able to solve many problems in three days: not only to expand the range and volume of supplies of fish products to Russia, but also to establish useful business contacts for the development of aquaculture, shipbuilding, processing, as well as in the area of scientific research,” said Ivan Fetisov.
Venezuela debuted at Seafood Expo Russia in 2024. In addition to the exhibition, representatives of the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture and the CORPESCA corporation held a presentation "The Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela".
