CHINA FISHERIES & SEAFOOD EXPO: The record size of the Russian pavilion
19/10/2023

October 25-27 marks the start of China Fisheries & Seafood Expo (CFSE), the major exhibition of the fisheries industry in China and the entire Asia-Pacific region. For the first time since 2019, the event will be held in a full format and bring together exhibitors and visitors from all over the world.

Since China contributes to about 2/3 of the world fish production with its market retaining position as the largest and most promising in the world, it comes as no surprise the exhibition is being held in Qingdao. In the meantime, fish and seafood export from Russia has recovered and already exceeded pre-COVID-19 levels. So far, the supply structure is still dominated by raw materials, therefore it is in the Russian exporters’ best interests to increase their share of deep processing products.

For the first time, the exhibition area of the Russian united national pavilion will exceed 1000 sq.m. Antey, Okeanrybflot, Fishing Artel imeni 50 let Oktyabrya, Lenin fishing collective farm, RK PROSTOR, Vostok-1 Fishing Collective Farm, The Russian Fishery Company, Dalryba, Tymlatsky fish processing plant, Ozernovsky fish canning plant #55, K-fleet, Rosrybflot, FOR Group, Yuzhno-Kyrilsky fish factory, North West Fishing Consortium, Kamchatsky Meridian, BALTIISKIY BEREG, Kamline and other leading fisheries enterprises from all over the country will form the basis of the exposition.

In addition to suppliers of fish products, the pavilion will promote services from various logistics companies such as Dalreftrans, Refagrotrans, Polar Star as well as Okhotsk Shipyard, that will take part in the exposition of the Khabarovsk Territory. Furthermore, the Russian national pavilion will incorporate a number of export support centers of the Murmansk region, Primorsky and Kamchatka territories.

The hallmark of the Russian national pavilion is a fish restaurant, that will serve dishes cooked with exhibitors’ products.

This year the CFSE will open for the 26th time and will take place at the Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center (HICEC) in Qingdao. Every year, the exhibition brings together over 30,000 participants representing fisheries, processing, aquaculture and industry services from 88 countries. Apart from Russia, other countries such as Canada, Chile, Ecuador, India, Japan, Ireland, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, South Korea, the USA, and Vietnam are also going to exhibit within the national pavilions.

Visitor registration is available on the official website of the exhibition.

According to the memorandum of cooperation with CFSE, the Expo Solutions Group has been the official operator of the Russian united pavilion since 2017, annually organizing the effective participation of Russian fisheries industry enterprises and creating additional opportunities for them to promote products and services.
