The special exposition of shipbuilding, ship repair, equipment and port infrastructure* Ship Tech Global will be followed up by rich and truly practice-orientated business program. In addition to showcasing cutting-edge technologies and equipment, participants will have the opportunity to discuss pressing issues ranging from the design to operation of new ships, and then quickly transition to joint implementation of new projects.
The program will start off on September 17 with a roundtable "Import Substitution in Russian Shipbuilding Industry: expectorations and reality". The session will bring together representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, design and engineering bureaus, shipbuilding enterprises, and equipment manufacturers. They will focus on the organizational and technological steps needed to confirm Russian production in the shipbuilding industry, sharing experiences, discussing challenges and outlining strategies for overcoming them.
The issue of import substitution will also be addressed at the conference "Unification in the design of innovative vessels: from theory to practice". Among attendees are representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Federal Agency for Fisheries, United Shipbuilding Corporation, Petrobalt design bureau and other design and shipbuilding enterprises, who will join the discussion to create an industry development plan, emphasizing local production and the unification of design processes through innovative solutions.
The business program will conclude with a roundtable "Fleet maintenance and modernization: increasing the competitiveness of shipbuilding enterprises". Participants will focus on the repair and maintenance of imported ship systems, training of qualified personnel for ship repair enterprises, and commissioning of new port infrastructure. Special attention will be given to fleet modernization measures aimed at improving the efficiency and competitiveness of the industry as a whole.

Additionally, another key event will take place as part of the business program on September 18, a roundtable "Industrial support for the fishery industry: new fleet, processing facilities and storage infrastructure". The session will bring together representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Federal Agency for Fisheries, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, customers, and contractors for an open dialogue on modernizing the fisheries sector.
