This year, the forum and exhibition will feature businesses representatives and official delegations from Russia and over 25 foreign countries. They will discuss a wide range of topics, including the development of trade relations and the organization of new projects, fostering joint technological development. These themes will be reflected in both the exposition and in the business program.
On September 17 at 10:00 am in Conference hall D2, a roundtable will address measures to stimulate the export of Russian fish products. Participants, including representatives from regulatory agencies, businesses, and experts, will discuss current and foreseeable changes in the structure of fish exports. The discussion will focus not only on supplier’s support measures, the needed to increase the share of processed products, but also on factors related to shifting fish and seafood supply routes to Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Specific markets, such as China, Saudi Arabia, and India, will be further explored during bilateral business sessions on September 17. These sessions will bring together representatives from relevant ministries and associations, exporters and importers of fish products, equipment, and technology. The sessions are scheduled as follows: China from 12:00 to 1:30 pm, India from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, and Saudi Arabia from 4:00 to 5:30 pm.
In addition to the business session "Russia – Saudi Arabia", which will take place on September 17 at 16:00, key persons from the guest country will hold an additional road show dedicated to Enhancing Collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Russia on Food Security and Global Supply Chain Resilience.
For the first time, the business program will feature a detailed overview of Venezuela’s fishing and aquaculture sector. The presentation "Fishery and aquaculture sector of Venezuela" will cover the issues of industrial catch of fish and seafood, aquaculture production (with a focus on shrimp farming), processing, logistics infrastructure, as well as peculiarities of local legislation. Special attention will be paid to the issues of fish products export.
Venezuela’s Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture will be also present as one of the exhibitors. Participants may visit Booth C6 in Pavilion F to learn more about Venezuela's modern fishing industry and establish business connections with key officials and business representatives.
The international agenda will continue with the presentation of VNIRO expedition "Africa – an ocean of opportunities". Konstantin Bandurin, Deputy Director of the Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) and head of AtlantNIRO, will provide a detailed account of the expedition and discuss its future prospects with business and research institute representatives.
Cooperation with friendly countries will be also covered during forum’s main event, the plenary session "Fishery in the age of innovation: technologies of the future”. Indonesia's Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono will participate as a speaker. Other official delegates from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Venezuela, Namibia, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar and many more will join the event as attendees.
