Preparations for Seafood Expo Global are well underway
10/12/2021

Following Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia, the main event of the Russian fishing industry, the world's largest fish industry exhibition Seafood Expo Global will take place in Barcelona next April. Last time the event took place even before the start of the pandemic, in May 2019.

Russian companies are already preparing to show to the world the achievements of the past two years. The main platform for the fishing industry will open its doors to visitors and exhibitors on 26-28 April 2022 in Barcelona. The joint national stand of Russia will occupy unprecedented 1200 m2; more than 30 exhibitors will present their products and services. The exposition of the national stand is traditionally organized by Expo Solutions Group.

The current epidemiological situation in the southern part of Europe allows Seafood Expo Global to be held in traditional offline format. Exhibitions and shows in Barcelona are held on schedule and popular among visitors. On the territory of the exhibition complex, same as in Russian domestic events, there is an tightened security regime: wearing masks and keeping a distance between visitors are mandatory conditions for being on the site.

The Expo Solutions Group team is closely monitoring the changes in the epidemiological situation in Spain, the introduction and removal of restrictive measures that influence on entry rules, stay at the venue, hotels and other public places.

In a pandemic time visa support becomes one of the key issues. To provide high-quality service, representatives of Expo Solutions Group first are obtaining visas for themselves, bearing in mind to transfer best practice later to participants of Russian national stand at Seafood Expo Global. Among other issues are receiving all the necessary permits and documents in online format. Testing this procedure will be very important for the participants of Seafood Expo Global from the Far East and other regions of Russia, where there are currently no Spain visa centers.

“We are in constant contact with the organizers of the exhibition and UFI (World Association of the Exhibition Industry - ed. note) and work simultaneously in several directions. To ensure that our exhibitors won’t have any problems with entry, we closely watch the dynamics of the pandemic and are ready to respond to any scenario. We will work with each client individually in order to offer the solution that best suits him - this is the main principle of our company organizing any events,” said Ivan Fetisov, CEO of Expo Solutions Group.

Seafood Expo Global is largest fish and seafood show in Europe. In 2019, the event brought together over 29,000 buyers and suppliers from all over the world and visitors from 155 countries. There were more than 74 national and regional pavilions with 1,946 exhibiting companies from 88 countries showcased. In 2022, the exhibition will take place on April 26-28 and will be held for the first time at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via venue.
