The main event of today's business program was the plenary session “Fishery in the age of innovation. Technologies of the future”. Key participants included Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Chairman of Government of the Russian Federation, Ilya Shestakov, Head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo), Sergei Dankvert, Head of the Federal Veterinarian and Phytosanitary Supervisory Service, Vladimir Solodov, Governor of the Kamchatka Territory, German Zverev, President of the All-Russian Association of Fisheries Enterprises, Entrepreneurs and Exporters (VARPE) and other top industry leaders and experts.
Prior to the plenary session, Dmitry Patrushev and Ilya Shestakov have toured the exhibition and reviewed the latest achievements of fishery enterprises.
During the event, Rosrybolovstvo, Government of the Murmansk region, and State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) signed an agreement to create a new cluster-type ship repair complex.
Additionally, agreements were signed between VARPE, Government of the Kamchatka region, Government of the Arkhangelsk region, Media Park LLC (Moscow on the wave) and the list of new partners.
Throughout the forum and exhibition, the Russian representatives held negotiations with representatives from Indonesia, Abkhazia, Angola, Yemen, and other foreign delegations.
Experts, representatives of aquaculture enterprises, and sector infrastructure companies explored digital trends, smart technologies, and real innovations in aquaculture at an international conference co-hosted with Fogstream.
Consumption-related issues were discussed at the roundtable "There is fish to eat" organized by Rosselkhozbank and at "Russian fish: ways to stimulate consumption" with the Fish Union.
FishStat experts presented new approaches to trading fish products, where all fishery sector services are digitized and consolidated: auctions, sales, price analytics, catch statistics, storage, refrigerated terminals and warehouses.
Additional attention was brought to fishing vessel construction. A concluding roundtable on ship repair was held as part of Ship Tech Global special exposition. Experts focused on servicing foreign ship systems, increasing the workforce of the industry and increasing production capacities. At another roundtable organized by Rosrybolovstvo and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the discussion covered new vessel construction, as well as various topics related to modernization of processing capacities and storage infrastructure.
