Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia
10/06/2020
This year, the global economy has experienced unprecedented changes in scale and impact due to the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19. On a daily basis, we monitored the current situation in order to correctly assess the possibility of holding an event in today's realities. The health of the participants is above all our concerns.
According to the final collegial decision of the organizing committee of the IV Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation - the head of the Federal Fisheries Agency Ilya Vasilyevich Shestakov, the event is postponed to July 6-8, 2021. This decision was caused by a number of reasons, including the dynamics of the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19, as well as the lack of guarantees as to the quality of the event.
Despite the fact that a gradual cancellation of quarantine measures is taking place around the world, the risk of infection remains, therefore, we assume that many specialists will prefer to refuse to attend the event, which will significantly reduce its business activity. In addition, the question of the resumption of international air traffic, for which the event may lose the presence of foreign participants, remains open.
According to recent statements by Tedros Gebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), “despite the improvement in the situation of coronavirus in Europe, the situation is worsening in the world, the pandemic is spreading to more and more people in different countries.”
Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia is an international B2B platform in which experts from 38 countries participate. The safety of participants and visitors, as well as effective work at the event venue and its conduct at the proper level are the main priorities.
Representatives of the Expo Solutions Group will contact all exhibitors of the IV Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia starting June 15.
